Innokin iclear 30 atomizer / clearomizer

The Innokin iclear 30 is a new addition to the clearomizer range available on the market today. It is larger than your standard CE4, eGo-C, eGo-T etc... atomizers so it fitsl and looks slightly better on a larger Mod or electronic cigarette. However you can have a plinth or adapter that hooks on to an ego battery that will make it look more streamlined.

Innokin iclear 30

The Innokin iclear 30 has a dual coil. 2 coils sitting almost on top of each other which gives a fantastic throat hit and vapour with a resistance of 2.2ohms which is more than adequate for all electronic cigarettes and mods.
Bear in mind that the amount of vapour is very dependant on the type of liquid you use and where you get it from but still with a dual coil you will get a very decent amount of vapour regardless. Having an inferior e-liquid will shorten the life of the atomizer no doubt and so will the VG content of the liquid. The more VG (Vegetable Glycerine) you have in the mixture, the more carbon will accumulate on the coils which will decrease its life.
Having said that, i personally use a 70/30 mix (70% PG to 30% VG). PG tends to give a better throat hit or kick while VG gives more vapour. The majority of liquids are 70/30 but some people prefer 50/50 and others due to an allergy to PG can only use VG only.

Innokin iclear 30 anatomy

Innokin are a very reputable company in the electronic cigarette business. They have been around for a number of years so you know when you buy an Innokin product, it will work very well. You will always get the odd one that will malfunction like any other. Even Joyetech with all their knowledge will still have the odd one that will not work or dead on arrival also know as (DOA).

The build quality of the iclear30 is of a high standard as you can see from the photos. The coil heads have 16 wicks so no way you will get a dry throat hit of an i30. There's plenty of wicks there to feed the 2 coils permanently even on low liquid in the tank.
Another feature is the swivel mouthpiece which helps sometimes depending on the vaping position so to speak.
The iclear 30 clearomizer has a 3ml e-liquid capacity which is plenty for a whole day vape for an average vaper. Incidentally the average consumption of e-liquid on a daily basis is around 3ml.

Innokin iclear 30 clearomizer

The Innokin iclear 30 has replacement heads as spares which means when the clearomizer dies, you do not have to buy a whole new unit. All you need is change the heads.
The heads last on average 3 weeks. Again that depends on how often it is being used. Persoanlly i change it every 3 weeks or thereabouts.

The replacement heads can be recoiled but it is not an easy thing to as a standard CE4 or even a Vivi or Mini Nova. One of the main reasons is that the bottom of the head is recessed so pulling it isn't so easy plus the fact that there are 2 coils doesn't make things any easier. If any of the wires touch, the i30 won't work.
The replacement heads aren't that expensive. At £3.99 from vapourettes is a good price.
The Innokin iclear 30 is certainly a worthy option for a serious vaper or someone who is looking for a good amount of vapour, throat hit and above all no dreaded burnt taste and leakage.

Star Electronic vapour cigarette with PCC

The star is another addition to the electronic vapour cigarette range. It features a PCC (Portable Charging Case) by which you can charge the battery while you are out and about. A very handy feature.
The Star looks very much like a cigarette which means it has a smaller battery which lasts anything from a couple of hours to 4hrs depending on your vaping requirement.

The idea of having the Star is that you do not have to carry a big Mod which is another word for a bigger electronic cigarette which are usually much larger and do not look anything like a real cigarette.

As you can see from the photo, the Star comes in a fairly small carrying case which as mentioned above acts as a charger as well for the batteries that come with it.
The Star PCC holds 2 batteries, 3 cartomizers. On the right hand side, the Star can hold a fully assembled electronic vapour cigarette also known as vapourette.
On the left side of the PCC is where you can charge the battery. All you do is slot the battery in and press down. Once you close the lid, the battery starts charging.

There is a touch button on the PCC and 4 LEDs to let you know how much charge is left in the PCC itself and if the battery is charging or charged.
The first LED lights up red when the battery is charging then it turns into green when it is fully charged.
As for the PCC itself. You can charge it through the mini USB port at the bottom which takes about 5-6 hrs to charge fully. Once fully charged, the PCC will charge 3-4 batteries before it needs recharging again which is plenty for a day's vape.

The Star PCC is unlike other PCCs you have seen. It works with a sliding action rather than a flip top. When you slide the body down, the top flip opens exposing the battery, 2 cartomizers and the spare fully assembled electronic vapourette. They are all in one row which makes it look slim and easy to carry around.

The cartomizers can be refilled so once the e-liquid of the cartomizer is consumned, instead of replacing it with a new one, you can refil it. That way saves money which makes the initial purchase of the Star PCC more attractive.
The battery power of the Star electronic vapour cigarette is a respectable (for its size) 220mAh and you get 2 of them with the package.
The PCC itself has a battery of 1200mAh which will charge around 3-4 batteries.
The Star PCC is available at vapourettes reasonably priced at £39.99.

If you are new to vaping or a beginner and you want to make the switch and want something as close as a real cigarette, then the Star PCC package can be for you.

Personally when i first switched to vaping a little over 3yrs ago, i had to have something that looks like a real cigarette so i opted for something like the Star. My first electronic cigarette was an E-lite which was the one that took me off the real cigarette. In those days they were not anywhere near what they are today. They were more difficult to work with and cartridges use to run out in no time. There is a learning curve when you switch to electronic cigarettes. The main point s the way you use it. Always take longer and slower drags/puffs to get the best effect the real cigarette gives. If you use an electronic cigarette the same as a real cigarette, you will not get the desired throat hit or kick and also the amount of vapour (smoke).

The Vamo Electronic Vapor Cigarette Mod

The Vamo as mentioned in the introduction is a very versatile variable voltage, variable wattage / power electronic cigarette. Very affordable too compared to other mods in this league.
Other similar vapour cigarettes are more than twice its price and more complex to work with.
Where the Vamo wins is in its simplicity. 3 buttons in all to allow for far more logical operation of the standard settings that many people will use.

The Vamo

2 small buttons that are used to increase or decrease the voltage. In the meantime when you press and hold each of them, will give you a different reading.
Press and hold the right button for 3 seconds as you are looking at the screen which will give you the atomizer resistance. Very handy when you are re-wicking or rebuilding your own atomizers.
Press and hold the left button for 3 seconds and you will get a reading indicating how much power is left in the battery before it needs recharging.
Press and hold the 2 small buttons together for again 3 seconds and you can switch the device from variable volatge to variable wattage / power
Can't be any simpler for such an advanced device.

The large button is used for your usual vaping and also to switch the device on/off through 5 click function.
Other devices in its league (well to me at least) are more complex and more tedious to work with such as the Vmax, Zmax and the much more expensive Provari which is way out of my budget. I personally cannot see myself paying over $200 for a vapour cigarette where others are far less. Yes, the Provari is very well made no doubt about it, functionality to me is a bit of a let down specially after the introduction of the Vamo. Why you may ask? I will explain.

The Zmax, Vmax and Provari all work with one button that does all the functions which means that you will be forever pressing the button on average about 7 or 8 times to just change a setting like voltage up by one notch or down.
First you have to press the button 3 times to get into the menu, then another time to reach the particular menu you want. So say you want to change power. 3 times to get to the menu, 3 times to get to the 4th menu then another few times to change the voltage up or down. Each press on the voltage menu will increase the voltage by 0.1v at a time. So if you want to increase the voltage by 0.1, you will have to press the button a further 4 times to reach it. You can do the maths and see what i mean.
The Zmax has i think around 8 menus while the Vmax has 6.
As opposed to the Vamo, all you have to do is press the small button and with each click you will increase the voltage by 0.1v or 0.5w at a time.
The Vamo has a 510 fitting which as many of you know will fit a host of atomizers such as a native 510, eGo, eGo-T, eGo-C, Vision eternity, Venus eternity, Cobra, Genesis, CE4, CE5, the list goes on and on.
It also has a deep drip well to catch any leakage that comes off some atomizers, cartomizers, etc...
Another big adavantage of the Vamo is you can configure it to 2 sizes. A standar size at 135mm and shorter version at 105mm.
At the standard size you can use the Vamo with 1x 18650 battery or 2x 18350. On the shorter version you can use 1x 18350 batteries. Another advantage that no other Mod will offer currently on the market today. I must admit the Vamo is a heavy piece of equipment but you will soon get used to it.

Vamo short version

The Vamo also works very well with the Vision or Venus eternity which are rebuildable atomizers. The fact that the Vamo has the facility to detect atomizer resistance which means you can build the atomizer and test the resistance and make changes before you finish the atomizer off.
The Vamo allows the user to alternate methods used internally to calculate the voltage output. The default and recommended setting is RMS. RMS provides a more accurate voltage output. The Vamo may also run in Average (or Mean) mode. Average mode may result in output voltages than displayed. To switch modes, hold either the power up or power down button for 10 seconds. The display screen will display N01 for AVG mode or N02 for RMS mode. To change the mode, release the adjustment button then press and hold for an additional 10 seconds to change to the alternate mode.
The downside of the Vamo i'ld say is its size. It is not a small item and neither it is light to carry around but soon you get used to it and makes an ego 900mAh ecig feel like  feather in your hand.
In conclusion i personally think the Vamo is excellent value for money given the facilities it offers and the 2 variety of sizes.
Vape on!

A standard Vamo kit comes with the device itself, 2x 18350 batteries and a twin charger that will charge either 2x 18650 or 2x 18350 batteries or a combination of both. Great value for money.
The Vamo is available at quite a few websites including vapourettes.com

Venus eternity rebuildable atomizer.

Venus Eternity rebuildable atomizer. (Also known as Vision eternity).

The Venus eternity is a rebuildable atomizer that you can build it the way you would like by choosing the thickness and type of the wick and the same for the wire.
There are many combinations you can use to get your so called sweet spot as you can decide what atomizer strength you want. High, low resistance etc...

Venus atomizer kit

The atomizer comes with 2 options. One for dripping and the other for using as a usual eGo type with a tank cartridge. The venus top part can accomodate a standard 1.1ml eGo tank cartridge. No 2ml adapter is available as of yet although you might find it on a different website.
The Venus Eternity has a standard 510 fitting which means you can use it with all sorts of batteries that have a 510 fitting. Most batteries have 510 fitting now, very few have an 808 fitting. It has become the norm that all batteries and atomizers to sell will have to be 510 compatible so to speak.

Venus Eternity anatomy

As you can see from the photo above from top to bottom there is:
  1. The drip tip which can be substituted for a tank cartridge (1.1ml) eGo type.
  2. The dripping body which accommodates the drip tip. The Venus comes with 2 bodies (dripping body and Tank body) The tank body is the one that accommodates the tank cartridge.
  3. The changeable coil part is the part with the most fun you can have if you are into rebuilding atomizers. Get yourself some wick and wire (many websites do that) and experiment with different resistances and wick thicknesses.
  4. The needle base which also acts as a reservoir for the liquid in dripping mode. Very well sealed. I've been using it for over 2 months now and not once it has leaked.
  5. The Coil base is where you hook the wick and coil to it through the posts. These posts do not need clicking to place like other makes such as the Vision. The downside of the click is that if pulled too hard, might damage the post and you loose the whole thing.
  6. The cone part is more of a decorative item specially if you use the Venus on an eGo type battery. It complements it looks by hiding the screw part of the battery and makes the whole ecig much more streamlined.
You can either make your own coils or buy them ready made from vapourettes. Prices for ready made ones are next to nothing (typically £1 each) with or without posts compared to what we usually pay for an atomizer which is at least £3 up to £10 if not more.

The kit comes in its own presentation tin like box with spare wicks and posts so you are ready to go straight away out of the box.
